Serafino dei Serafini, St. Dorothy Conducted to Martyrdom

Second half of the 14th century
Fresco transferred to a new support
Provenance: Church of St. Andrew, Ferrara, Italy
Pinacoteca Nazionale, Ferrara, Italy

The gallery's label identifies the saint as Dorothy. There are no attributes, but presumably the fragment was part of a larger series on St. Dorothy's life and passion. The blond hair and the scoop neckline appear in almost all her portraits.
